About the conference
The conference is organized jointly by the University of Wroclaw, the Faculty of Law, Economy, and Administration - The Research Center for Legal and Economic Issues of Electronic Communication (CBKE) and by Visa Europe. It will take place on September 29-30, in Prof. Witold Świda Hall, D2 building D of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economy of the University of Wroclaw. The conference topics are broadly understood legal and technology aspects of electronic card payments, especially: legal nature of the electronic cards and transactions, solutions regarding conflicts of norms, and legal framework regulating the electronic service market. The conference's agenda covers also issues related to fight against crime stemming out from popularization of cashless transactions. It presents also Visa Europe's activity in Poland and in Europe. The lectures will be presented by representatives of practice and legal theory in Polish and English languages. Simultaneous translation will be provided. The conference is addressed to professionals interested in legal aspects of electronic payments: judges, prosecutors, defense lawyers, solicitors, academic teachers and workers from the bank industry. |
